Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for Los Angeles Homeowners

What does an interior renovation include?
Interior renovations cover everything inside your walls: new flooring, kitchens and baths, layout changes, lighting, millwork, and finishes, without necessarily expanding the footprint. It is ideal for modernizing an older LA home.
How much does an interior renovation cost in Los Angeles?
Costs vary with scope, but interior renovations typically run $100 to $300 per square foot depending on how many rooms and systems are involved. We prioritize your budget around the spaces you use most.
How long does an interior remodel take?
Most interior renovations take 2 to 6 months depending on scope and whether walls or systems are moved. We phase the work and contain dust to keep the rest of your home livable where possible.
Do interior renovations require permits?
Cosmetic updates usually do not, but moving walls, plumbing, electrical, or gas does require LADBS permits. We advise you exactly what is needed and pull every permit required to keep the work legal and safe.
Can you remove interior walls to open up my floor plan?
Yes. Open-concept layouts are one of our most requested upgrades. We determine whether a wall is load-bearing and, if so, engineer and permit a beam to carry the load safely.
